When I became a parent, I had a million questions – it took me a while to relax and feel like I was getting the hang of it. One of the biggest resources I had was being able to ask other parents of similar-aged children all of my questions. It really is the definition of ‘it takes a village.’ We can’t parent in isolation; whatever you are going through, someone else has already gone through. That information and experience is vital for us.
Sober Parent interviews are a way of tapping into that universal knowledge, but specifically with parents who have raised children in recovery. There is just an added angle that sober parents need. Hopefully you will find the support, wisdom, and advice that you are searching for amongst this community. If you would like to be interviewed for the sober parent blog please see the guidelines on the about page.
